It says BrightView will 'selectively pursue accretive acquisitions', and its May 2026 investor deck says it will 'explore M&A opportunities as business grows organically'. A KKR affiliate sold 11.6M shares in a June 2025 secondary offering.

- Headquarters
- Lake Bluff, IL

Medium confidence on the current owner. CI Capital's ownership is confirmed through Mar 2025. A Houlihan Lokey Q3 2025 update lists a Mariani 'Transaction Pending' with no detail, Mariani's own 2026 releases do not name an owner, and July 2026 trade coverage (OffDeal) still calls it CI Capital-backed. Mariani buys high-end residential (estate) landscapers.

- Nexus Capital Management (lead shareholder)
- Headquarters
- Westlake Village, CA
- Scale
- 17 partner companies (Oct 2026)

Private equity- Owner

Riverview's releases say it is 'owned by management and Talus Holdings', so the split is not disclosed. Talus describes itself as backing service platforms with long-term capital, so it is a holding company rather than a traditional fund. The Fresh Cut deal was posted in June 2026, but the wire release did not go out until Sept 2026.
LMC Landscape Partners
Private equity- Owner
- Trivest Partners
- Headquarters

Osprey Landscape Group
Private equity- Owner
- Southfield Capital
- Headquarters
- Carlsbad, CA
- Scale
- Operating in Oregon, Washington and Texas (Mar 2026); entered California in Jun 2026
The HQ city comes only from the Lawn & Landscape 2026 Top 100, and a July 2025 release carried a San Diego dateline. Yet the June 2026 LandGraphics deal was billed as Osprey's first California acquisition, so the HQ is unconfirmed.

- Headquarters
- Kansas City, MO
- Scale
- Operations across 26+ states
No. 6 on the 2026 Top 100. Pritzker Private Capital describes itself as 'family direct investing' (backed by family capital), so it is not a conventional PE fund. No 2026 acquisition announcements were found. HeartLand's site lists further tuck-ins (Corbran's in Colorado Springs, CAM in Phoenix) without clear dates.
Hatcher Landscape Partners
Private equity- Owner
- Walnut Grove Capital Partners
- Headquarters
- Olive Branch, MS
- Scale
- 600 team members (Sep 2025)

Frequently asked
Which buyers have been acquiring the most landscaping companies lately?
Riverview Landscapes, owned by its management and Talus Holdings, says it has made 27 acquisitions since 2022, most recently B&B Landscaping & Gardening of Cortlandt Manor, NY in July 2026. In 2026, Visterra Landscape Group (Trinity Hunt Partners) added Land Corps (Nashville, TN), Clover Landscape Group (Huntsville, AL), Qualitiscape (Fort Worth, TX) and Richmond & Associates (Dallas, TX). Over the same year, Landscape Workshop (Ares Management) bought Landcrafters, Palm Atlantic, Big Yellow Services and three Outworx Group maintenance businesses.
How much of the landscaping industry do private equity firms own?
By DealSeam's count, 41 of the 100 companies on Lawn & Landscape's 2026 Top 100 list carry its private-equity-backing marker. The industry is still fragmented. The National Association of Landscape Professionals counts 692,777 landscaping businesses. BrightView, the largest, puts its own share of the roughly $105 billion US commercial landscaping services market at about 2%.
Do buyers acquire residential landscaping companies, or only commercial ones?
Both. Most platforms focus on commercial work, but Mariani Premier Group (CI Capital Partners) buys high-end residential firms. Its recent deals include Lopez Gardening of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Mitschele's of Phoenix, AZ in July 2026, and Roots Landscape of Wayne, PA in December 2025. Riverview also buys firms that serve both kinds of client, such as Landscape, Inc. of Albany, NY.
Which investors have started new landscaping platforms recently?
Several new platforms formed in 2025-2026: - Agellus Capital bought HighGrove Partners of Atlanta in November 2025. - Unity Partners formed Yardmaster in Columbus, OH in December 2025. - TruArc Partners bought Schill Grounds Management of Cleveland in January 2026. - Century Park launched Green Summit Landscape Group in Michigan in April 2026. - Trinity Hunt Partners formed Elevation Landscape Group around Landscape Endeavors of Colorado Springs in May 2026. - Walnut Grove Capital Partners backed Hatcher Landscape Partners, formed in September 2025.
Are there buyers other than private equity firms?
Yes. The Davey Tree Expert Company is employee-owned through an ESOP and bought Natural Directions of Summerville, SC in November 2025. Family-owned Asplundh bought Fitzwater Outdoor Maintenance of Dayton, OH in October 2025. BrightView is publicly traded (NYSE: BV) but reported no acquired intangible assets in the nine months to June 30, 2026, and its May 2026 investor deck puts organic growth ahead of M&A.
How often are landscaping owners being approached to sell?
More often each year. Lawn & Landscape's 2026 State of the M&A Market report found that the share of owners approached about selling six to 10 times a month rose from 8% in 2025 to 26% in 2026. Nearly 58% said their interest in selling had grown over three years, and 89% expect consolidation among existing platforms.
Do sellers keep their brand, team or a stake after the sale?
Often, in the deals reviewed: - Riverview said the three New Jersey companies it bought in March 2025 would keep their day-to-day management teams. - Osprey said it plans to keep operating under the LandGraphics brand. - R&D Landscape's founders and leadership kept a meaningful ownership stake when it joined Green Summit. - Greatscapes owner James Printz joined Ruppert Landscape as a partner. Ruppert also tells sellers they can take cash today and keep an equity stake.
Methodology & sources
Compiled Oct 5, 2026 and then checked line by line in a second pass meant to disprove the draft. That pass re-opened every platform, deal and market-stat source. It covered about 95 full pages, fetched directly (deal press releases, PE-firm portfolio pages, SEC filings, Lawn & Landscape and Landscape Management coverage, the Top 100 PDF), plus 430 results from 43 Parallel searches. Every platform owner was checked for a 2025-2026 sale, recapitalization or rename. A platform whose current owner could not be confirmed was dropped. Deals are 2024-2026 announcements, and each target's location is given as its source states it. The list is a sourced sample of 65 deals, not a full census.
